On November 9, 2023, at the Multipurpose Hall of the commune of Blejoi, the first event of the Wallachia eHub Caravan was organized, through the cooperation of some members of the consortium, namely Heveco, Integrisoft Solutions and Beia Consult International, as providers of integrated technologies, as well as the Danube Engineering Hub Cluster and USH Pro Business entrepreneurial center as facilitators.
Representatives of the local public authorities from Blejoi commune, the host of the event, and from the Prahov localities Berceni, Bucov, Măgurele, Lipănești, Băicoi, Târgșor, Păulești were present. On this occasion, the Wallachia eHub digital innovation center and the services provided by it, which are offered to public authorities, as well as the integrated services offered by consortium members with a focus on interoperability, GIS applications and the use of sensors, were presented.
"I notice a growing interest in the digitization of the localities around Ploiești, which is why I had a consistent participation in the event and a particular interest in this kind of integrated services. Together we can outline a true digital corridor of our localities, and our town hall has the openness and the necessary facilities to create a consultation and information point for the integration of digital solutions together with the partners in the Wallachia ehub consortium" said Mr. Adrian Dumitru, the mayor of Blejoi commune.
During the event, there was also an exchange of experience between the local public authorities in Prahova and the representatives of the Călăraşi municipality regarding the acceleration of the digital transformation process at the level of public authorities.
"The high interest in this model of presentation of integrated services leads us to resume such caravans in other counties in the South-Muntenia region. We are also glad that the local public authorities have shown their interest in being beneficiaries of the services offered by the Wallachia eHub digital innovation center and in developing in Blejoi an information and consultancy point on the issue of digital transformation. The presentation of integrated services in the form of a caravan is a process open to those technology providers who can cooperate, so that the adoption of digital technologies is done as efficiently as possible. We found that, in addition to the interest in these services, the public authorities need access to training programs and information about the financing possibilities of such projects", declared the university professor. On November 16-17, 2023, at the International Summit InnopRo 2023, an event organized by Wallachia eHub in Sinaia, integrated offers will again be presented following the model of the WEH Caravan held in Blejoi commune, offers that will address both local public authorities from the South-Muntenia, Bucharest-Ilfov and Oltenia regions, as well as SMEs interested in becoming beneficiaries of the center.
