On Tuesday, July 9, 2024, the WALLACHIA eHUB Roadshow took place - Intelligent Connections: Exploring Big Data, Data Science and IoT for LPAs in the South-Muntenia region, specifically four town halls in Giurgiu county: Schitu, Rasuceni, Toporu and Izvoarele.

The event aimed to raise the awareness of city hall employees regarding the good use of digital resources, materials were received regarding:

Improving data security: preventing cyber attacks in public administration;

Using Big Data: harnessing large volumes of data to improve public services, monitor resources more effectively and respond better to community needs.

Innovation and efficiency: Transforming the work of the city hall by optimizing processes and making informed decisions based on advanced data analysis.

Interacting with project experts to share best practices was the first step in exploring new technologies and digital solutions for public administration. Each event visit ended with a question and answer session for the participants – answers to specific questions about the project and digitalization in public administration.

The Wallachia eHUB project was seen as a necessary initiative especially in small communities, where the input of capital and knowledge is essential for development. Expert Trainers from the project were invited to return to the visited villages for training sessions within the project. We thank all participants and collaborators for their interest and determination in improving living conditions in the communities visited.
